Happy Freaking mother's day to me...when your mom is crazy as a loon.
by Fleur inthose who have known me for any length of time through these forums know that my mom is, at best, unique, and at worse, totally freaking nuts.
i went to see her yesterday, specifically.
i didn't want to, i am honest enough to admit that.

Your mother needs professional help . She can not make the rational decision for this right now it is up to you and your Father to get her help ! My grandmother had schizophrenia , before medication she was paranoid and became violent with hallucinations. After treatment as long as she stayed on meds she was sweet , kind and easy to be around . It is not her fault it is a SICKNESS and it is up to the healthy people in her life to get her HELP .Grandma had to be commited for her own good . It's not an easy decision , but it is loving and responsable.

Drowning in Literature

if i hadn't thrown out most of the books, mags, brochures and bound volumes i've accumulated over the decades, i swear i would need to build an addition on my house and call it the "literature wing"!.
anyone else used to, or still are, drowning in literature?

I'm so glad not to be going to meetings , and having to pick up all the back issues I've missed Yikes ! what a pile that would be. I hated having stacks of magazines accumlate every year .I use to save all the old unplaced issues because I felt guilty throwing them out .

I was just contemplating this morning on what to do with my bookcase full of literature. Burning is one idea entertained . I have several boxes already stored in the garage . The really old literature my mom had are in the Hall's library , the hall library has every magazine , and old publication from the begining , which strikes me as odd since they really don't want us reading old light and getting confused ! ha

Definitely a planner, and well prepared ! We like to camp , and I like being prepared for anything so that once we get to our destination I can enjoy myself . Sometimes I guess I over do the planning part. When we take a trip I usually have an agenda for each day . I hate to miss anything and I also don't like to just sit around and do nothing . We have friends that are exactly the opposite of me. Everytime we are together everything is disorganized and utter confusion for them , never prepared. I finally quit letting it bother me now I expect it and count on it as part of the entertainment to watch them run around like chickens with their heads cut off.

Oh yeah, and did you ever notice the Brother giving the talk about the evil of riches was also the guy that had a big nice house , new suit , newer car ,and took nice vacations . No ? well that's how it's been around here . Something just doesn't add up for me in this area .

i followed their lead, baptized at 15, regular pioneer at 19, ms at 21, elder at 27. have given district and circuit talks, tms overseer yada, yada, yada... .
last september i stopped and haven't looked back.

It is going to take time.... I suggest reading Ray Franz books . I was quite surprized to find he was not a hateful evil slave but rather a humble man with a genuine good conscience.His inside veiw really helped me understand who easily we were duped into believing what was handed us. His books can be ordered online through " Commentary Press". I know you will find some very good information here too , check out posts under" Best of".

i just found out my son's picture is on the front page of the local paper dressed up for prom with his high school sweety, and his new lip piercing .

HE did ! and we were just as excited for him . In our town it is tradition for the kids to all gather in the park and have parents take pictures. So I talked my husband into going with us , he enjoyed it as much as I did.
